Wine Tastings & Pairings
Let’s get your wine adventure started with the Event and Lifestyle Management Wine Tasting offering. We will help you:
- Choose the correct style of wine you would like to offer your guests. If you’re just starting out on your wine adventure, keeping it simple with a few complex choices can present a very satisfying experience for everyone. If you’re an old salt at wine tastings, we can get as fancy as you’d like. You’ll choose the theme to your tasting, and we'll help guide your choices for a successful experience.
- Learn while you plan! There is a correct order to the wines at a tasting (i.e., youngest vintage to oldest; vertical versus horizontal). We’ll arrange the wines correctly and explain to you prior to your event some of the reasons behind the choices so you can feel confident as the host.
- Provide ample choices for your guests’ tasting, with little to no waste. Although most people know that a bottle of wine usually serves four people (five if you’re being conservative), tastings work differently.
- Provide the correct glasses for your tasting based on the wines you’ve chosen (available for purchase after the event if you or your guests are interested).
- Select a light menu that will complement your wine choices (one of the most important elements of this experience, to be sure). You are free to use the caterer of your choice, with whom we’ll work to ensure the best food/wine pairings. Our Executive Chef is also available to coordinate the menu for this experience.
- Offer everyone the tips they’ll need to enjoy wine tasting.
- Guide your guests through a light and fun Q&A session about the wines and the food pairings.
- Take notes! We will provide Event and Lifestyle Management-branded Wine Notebooks for note taking. (We can also provide non-branded notebooks if you would prefer.) We strongly encourage light note-taking for everyone so they can start their own wine adventure. Being able to refer back to previous tastings brings back only lovely memories. We can even take insta-max photos to be included in the Wine Notebooks for additional memory-making!
