In-Home Chef Experience

Our Executive Chef will teach you and your guests how to cook an unforgettable four-course meal in your home.

Working with you on a delicious and engaging menu, our team helps you choose the cuisine yourself. You and your guests won’t be just following recipes – you’ll be learning insider tips and techniques you can use every time you’re in the kitchen.

This is a fun, hands-on experience that will last about 2 to 2 ½ hours (unless otherwise indicated). Gatherings are a minimum of 8 participants, maximum of 20. Each guest will have a generous taste of the entire menu.

In-Home Bartending Experience

At the Event and Lifestyle Management In-Home Bartending Experience, you and up to 7 other guests will learn insider tips and tricks that will make at-home cocktailing so much fun (and give you a leg up the next time you order a drink while you’re out).

All participants must be 21 years of age or older.

Your Bartender Instructor will work with you to develop a menu of three specific cocktails for you and your guests to master. We will arrive with all necessary bar equipment, cutting boards and knives for everyone; as well as all liquor, mixers and garnishes necessary to complete all three cocktails. We will also have the appropriate glassware for each cocktail (available for purchase, if you or your guests are interested).

The In-Home Bartending Experience is approximately 2 hours.

In-Home Etiquette Experience

While the theme of this experience can be influenced by many of your own choices, at the end of the Event and Lifestyle Management In-Home Etiquette Experience, you will be able to:

  • Properly set table linens and understand several simple and at least one complex napkin fold;
  • Properly arrange place settings (from simple to mid-level complex);
  • Determine a correct seating plan (who sits where and why);
  • Understand what to do with your napkin and when;
  • How long to hold dinner for a late guest;
  • Correctly hold your posture and your dining utensils;
  • Serve food for formal and casual meals;
  • Enjoy bread and butter correctly;
  • Serve hard-to-handle foods;
  • Refuse something politely; and
  • Order and taste wine correctly.

The beauty of this offering is that the knowledge you gain can be applied anywhere, not just home events. Fancy dinner for the In-Laws at the swankiest spot in town? Hosting out-of-town execs and some company “big-wigs” for classic Austin BBQ? Interview over lunch at a place fancier than usual? You’ll know what to look for and how best to navigate (and direct) the social terrain after the Event and Lifestyle Management In-Home Etiquette Class.

As everyone will be having far too much fun to remember every little detail, you and all of your guests will take home a keepsake binder especially designed for your event with spots for notetaking amongst all our tips and reminders on fun and proper hosting etiquette.
